Shankarapura Mallige, also referred to as Udupi Mallige or Udupi Jasmine, is a highly popular commercial variety of jasmine flowers grown in the coastal regions of Udupi and Dakshina Kannada in Karnataka, India.

Cultivators harvest the jasmine buds early in the morning and bind them together using thread made from dried banana pseudostem peels. 750 individual flowers are used to make a "Chendu," and four such "Chendus" make up one "Atte."

After encasing the flowers in banana leaves, a network of agents in nearby villages collect and transport them to Shankarapura Katte for packaging and shipment. The flowers are transported by bus to markets in Udupi and Mangaluru, as well as by train and airplane to Mumbai, Chennai, Delhi, and Ahmadabad. Additionally, they are transported by flight to Gulf nations such as Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

This has proved to be a very sustainable source of enterprise and livelihood for numerous small-scale flower cultivators in the coastal regions of Karnataka.
